Ceremonial Tibetan Horns
One of the instruments played as part of a traditional
Tibetan Buddhist ensemble. The collective sound is otherworldly and odd
to Western ears. The Gyuto Tantric Choir made up of Buddhist monks from
Kathmandu, Nepal have been traveling in the US since 1988 giving
performances and playing these horns. In 1994 we fed the monks lunch in
our cafe....as I remember they liked very strong tea.
